Scarlet Gem Grotto was a sanctuary to both colorful waterfowl and Empress Phoenica. The birds were long prized for the magical properties of their plumage, but the cave held the last known colony. As an admirer, Phoenica felt a pressing need to provide protection and promote propagation to the extent of outlawing trespass into the coastal cavern.
