The crest engraved into Shmelzar's brow was the symbol he was one of those chosen at birth to be sacrificed to the Gods of Carnage. His fate was to be no different from any before him. He, too, was to be fed to the waiting jaws of the great demon. Yet despite all odds, there he stood, brandishing his sword at a legion of fiends. Having escaped the unescapable, it was now his destiny to defeat the archdemons and restore hope to the land, a destiny which he had fought through endless battles to realize.
