One often forgets when observing the great works of master sculptors that each piece began as a mere block of stone. A sublime sculpture of the ideal woman was given the name Amia, and so impressive was its artistry that it gathered not only the people’s adoration but their worship as well. Incredibly, after many years the prayers for her to become real were granted. From what was once an inanimate mass, the graceful and pure maiden Amia was born.
