A great war to the west scattered the surviving elves. One of them, a magician named Meldalina, embarked on a lengthy journey for their holy land to assemble the others. However, she arrived to find it too had been devastated by battle and bereft of life. The lingering fog also blocked the effect of her signal spell, and there was no response to it even as lonely days turned into years.
