Few people knew the water communicated through ripples; fewer still knew how to interpret them; only Chenella could see those ripples as letters. She traveled to secluded ponds and lakes around the world, recording tales of forest fairies and long forgotten stars so others now and of future generations could read them. It was her firm belief the gods had given her the talent for that very purpose.
