In most respects, Enesia was a normal girl, yet she was born with a unique ability known as 'Succession'. As she cared for the dying, any special skills they possessed would be drawn into her. When word of an enormous dragon that threatened to destroy the world surfaced, she joined a local military company. She presumed she would be able to gain the powers of those that fell in battle, allowing her to slay the menace.
