Mirjana's presence upon the battlefield should not have come to pass, yet the soldiers were nonetheless heartened by her arrival. Her newfound boldness meant she would not tolerate spectating as her countrymen fought, however, and there was a strange commotion as she moved to the vanguard. As she did, a glistening blade descended from the Heavens, which she perceived as a divine command to charge headlong into the coming fray.
