Garnalla greatly preferred the life of a prisoner, though she could have done without the markings of one. She found the social constraints and prejudices outside of her cell more restricting than steel bars or solid walls. Additionally, her fellow inmates were wary around her, for she was free to kill any she disliked. The dank, gloomy dungeon was as liberating to her as anywhere could be.
