Each day the monk denied his calling as a holy man, his heart was slowly consumed. Torn apart between love and sacred law, he climbed the holy mountain and surrendered his life to the lightning itself. Vajura, left behind in grief, came to regret the ruin her love had brought. In time she sought to follow him, standing upon the same sacred peak to receive the lightning as he had. Yet the gods refused her wish and spared her life. When she awoke again, she had become something else entirely: Vajura, a great spirit who guards the faith. Reborn, she was granted immense power to banish the demons that disturb the hearts of monks. She built a temple upon the mountain of lightning and bestowed diamond hard golden weapons upon the monks who came there, teaching them to strike down the evils that inflame mortal desire. It is said that within Vajura's quiet gaze dwell both enduring remorse for the lost monk and a sublime undying love.
