Finé gets all dressed up, and stepping lightly, asks Emidio a question. "What do you think of this outfit? It's pretty, don't you think?" Emidio looks troubled, and replies, "Isn't it a bit much?" He busily returns to making sweets. Finé frowns. "Can't he say anything more clever than that?" Meanwhile, the children continue gobbling sweets.
