The red Jabberwock loathed humans most of all creatures. This was not out of instinct, but because it involuntarily read their thoughts. Multiple eyes gave its skull a strange shape which caused that mental noise to resound cacophonously. So painful was this sensation that it instantly devoured any humans it encountered before they could think. As human civilization flourished, its agony also increased.
